چکیده

Mineral dust affects health, climate, and ecosystems in various ways. East Asia is one of the major sources mineral world. This study examines year-to-year variability deposition over Japan April from perspective large-scale atmospheric circulations using aerosol reanalysis datasets for period 2011 to 2017. The increased explained by intensified transport Mongolian Plateau anomalous westerly winds associated with a deepened trough Asian continent toward northwest Japanese islands middle lower troposphere. enhanced emission Gobi Desert extratropical cyclone activity are consistent larger-than-normal amount Asia. Comparing depositions western northern Japan, it suggested that slightly different positions may determine whether or not large carried. A further analysis long-term (1967-2022) observation data supports importance continent. Dust flux decomposed into cyclonic anticyclonic components showed both vortices contribute eastward These results suggest events their affected stationary circulation anomaly as well baroclinic instability waves including transient cyclones anticyclones.

Effect of Atmospheric Dust on Interannual Variability in the Martian

Mars Observer Camera (MOC) observations from Mars Global surveyor (MGS) revealed that the Residual South Polar Cap (RSPC) consists of several units that show evidence of deposition and erosion with characteristic times on the order of ~ 100 years [1]. These authors suggested that significant changes observed in the RSPC between MY 9, when Mariner 9 observed the cap,, and MY 12, observed by Viki...

Influence of atmospheric circulation patterns on dust transport during Harmattan Period in West Africa

This study has used TOMS AI as well as the reanalysis dataset of thirty-four years (1979-2012) to investigate the influence of atmospheric circulation on dust transport during the Harmattan period in West Africa, using Aerosol Index (AI) data, obtained from various satellite sensors. Changes in Inter-Tropical Discontinuity (ITD), Sea Surface Temperature (SST) over the Gulf of Guinea, and North ...

Modeling of Atmospheric Regional Circulation for Event of Most Severe Spring Dust Storms on West of Iran

Dust phenomenon is a natural occurrence that occurs widespread in arid and semi-arid regions of the world, especially in the sub-equatorial latitudes. This phenomenon is among the greatest environmental problems in the world. The release of this destructive climatic phenomenon in a scattered manner in the atmosphere varies in size, time and concentration. Since this phenomenon is influenced...

Small interannual variability of global atmospheric hydroxyl.

The oxidizing capacity of the global atmosphere is largely determined by hydroxyl (OH) radicals and is diagnosed by analyzing methyl chloroform (CH(3)CCl(3)) measurements. Previously, large year-to-year changes in global mean OH concentrations have been inferred from such measurements, suggesting that the atmospheric oxidizing capacity is sensitive to perturbations by widespread air pollution a...
